Atlantis, Iceland shoot – day 13
We woke relatively early on Wednesday, understanding that we had not merely had a bad dream, and somewhat thankful that we had an hour and a half drive to the ferry bound for Vestmannaeyjar. At least we could perhaps be disconnected from the goings on in the US (and home and the rest of the world). Plus, tomorrow was hopefully going to be a very, very significant day’s shooting in the Atlantis, Iceand project – but back to Wednesday.
By now we had been joined by Alfreð, our location manager, guide and companion for the next week or so, bringing our band to 6 in number. With Rick holding fort and working on the social media duties, the rest of the team sought refuge in some chemical assitance and sleep for the 3 1/2 hour crossing. It wasn’t too rough, but then again, it was hardly smooth. Anyway, we disembarked intact, ready for our first Vestmannaeyjar shooting engagment – Halli Ari.
A warming spa, bed and a good sleep rounded out the day – the least challenging for filming so far on the trip. But that special Thursday awaited …
